ExxonMobil sees upstream growth of 2-3% a year through 2017 with a strong contribution from liquids, according to slides to be presented at the company's annual analyst meeting in New York.
The company said its liquids outlook would be up about 2% in 2013 and increasing at about 4%/year from 2013-17.
By contrast, the company's gas outlook will dip about 5% in 2013 and then rise by about 1%/year from 2013 to 2017.
