必和必拓表示截止去年12月份的本财年上半年实现利润20.2亿美元，而上年同期的利润为32亿美元。 一次性项目前的利润同比增加25%达到40.5亿美元。
必和必拓表示将年中股息从一年前的40美分/股提高至55美分/股，这意味着公司将上半年近四分之三的利润回报给股东。自2017年中期以来，必和必拓将净债务削减了9亿美元，降至154亿美元。

BHP Profit Falls But Dividend Rises
BHP Billiton Ltd. reported a 37% fall in first-half net profit but said it would lift its midyear payout by 38% after resurgent commodity prices sharply boosted its cash flow.
BHP, said it made a profit of US$2.02 billion in the six months through December, which compared with a year-earlier profit of US$3.20 billion. Profit before one-off items was up 25% at US$4.05 billion.
Directors declared a dividend of 55 cents a share, up from 40 cents a year ago, meaning it returned nearly three-quarters of its earnings to shareholders. The company also cut net debt by US$900 million since mid-2017, to US$15.4 billion.
