石油设备网讯 据普氏能源资讯4月22日迪拜报道，迪拜商品交易所(Dubai Mercantile Exchange)周一开始就在其阿曼原油期货合约中加入阿布扎比的Murban原油作为替代交割级别一事进行公开磋商。
该交易所已获得监管机构的初步批准，将在阿曼合同中增加Murban项目。
DME董事长Ahmad Sharaf在一份声明中称:“我们致力于提高阿曼原油基准，以便始终与当前市场趋势保持一致。”“过去10年，石油行业经历了几次变革，因此，基准价格必须不断演变，以反映最新的市场动态以及消费者和生产商的需求。”

DME starts public consultation on adding Murban to Oman futures contract
The Dubai Mercantile Exchange Monday started a public consultation on adding Abu Dhabi's Murban crude oil as an alternative delivery grade to its Oman Crude Oil Futures Contract, used by Oman, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to set their official selling price for oil exported to Asia.
The exchange, which has received preliminary regulatory approval to add Murban to its Oman contract, said the new crude could add 700,000 b/d to the standard Oman crude oil delivery mechanism.
"We are committed to enhance the Oman crude benchmark so it is always aligned with current market trends," DME Chairman Ahmad Sharaf said in a statement. "The oil industry has gone through several changes in the past decade, therefore, the benchmark had to evolve to reflect latest market dynamics and both consumers' and producers' needs."
DME has been looking into an alternative delivery grade to DME Oman as a means of managing occasional price spikes, particularly when a contract nears expiry at the end of the month as buyers and sellers of Oman crude look to cover outstanding positions, market participants say.
The Platts Oman crude assessment methodology includes Murban as an alternative delivery grade with a quality premium. On January 4, 2016, Platts added Murban as alternative delivery crude in its Dubai and Oman crude oil benchmarks.
