Energy Aspects

Bloated US Oil Inventories May Quickly Ease
US oil stockpiles have remained around 28.5 days of demand of late, belying a seasonal drop which usually starts in April. Energy Aspects says that's because of the Midwest flooding, which has affected domestic trucking and industrial demand, as well as strong imports from Canada, Colombia and Iraq. The firm sees the inventory/demand ratio returning to its 5-year average of around 25 days by August as flooding subsides and refinery activity increases. runs pick up for the summer season. Strong US crude oil exports will also trim inventories, it says.
