Dunkirk LNG unloads 8 cargoes in May
Dunkerque LNG the operator of France’s Dunkirk liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal said the facility has unloaded eight vessels in May.
The operator noted in a brief statement through its social media channels that 1.2 million cubic meters of LNG were unloaded from the eight vessels arriving at the facility during the month.
This compares to 10 vessels received in the previous month when 1.6 million cubic meters were unloaded.
In May, more than 9.3 TWh were supplied to the transmission networks, Dunkerque LNG said, slightly below the 10 TWh supplied to the transmission networks in April 2019.
However, compared to the corresponding month last year, the figures represent a 396 percent jump.
The Dunkirk LNG terminal has an annual regasification capacity of 13 billion cubic meters of natural gas, or about 20 percent of France and Belgium’s gas demand.
