Qatar delivers first Q-Flex to Turkey's Marmara LNG terminal
Qatargas has delivered the largest "single cargo" into the recently expanded Marmara LNG terminal in Turkey, it said over the weekend.
The Marmara terminal, owned by the state-owned company Botas, was originally designed to accommodate conventional size vessels, but can now receive both Q-Flex and Q-Max vessels.
The Al Sheehaniya Q-Flex vessel loaded a cargo of about 207,000 cu m of LNG at the Ras Laffan terminal in Qatar on May 30, before heading to Turkey.
So far this year, Qatar is the second biggest exporter of LNG to Turkey, after Algeria but ahead of Nigeria, according to S&P Global Platts analytics data.
